Lynne O’Keefe, founder and managing partner at Define Ventures, will join the company’s board as part of the deal. The capital will support expansion of the existing clinical infrastructure rather than the creation of entirely new service lines.
Company leaders view the investment as validation of a model that pairs specialized clinicians with automated workflows. This combination has already produced measurable savings for two Fortune 100 employers, totaling more than $50 million in projected medical and pharmacy costs.
From Cardiometabolic Focus to Wider Chronic Care
9amHealth began by addressing obesity, diabetes, and hypertension, areas where demand for GLP-1 medications has grown rapidly. The platform’s early results showed that coordinated virtual care could reduce both medication waste and avoidable complications. With the new funding, the company intends to apply the same framework to additional specialty conditions that drive up to 70 percent of employer pharmacy spending.
